Piropos

I'm going to be honest here... our infatuation for Piropos is much more than the typical sum of a restaurants parts. On a Valentines Day over six years ago I proposed to Susan in the rain at Piropos overlooking downtown Parkville. With an emotional connection like that you really can't expect us to be impartial to our review of Piropos. Thankfully, the restaurant speaks for itself. Our experiences at the old Parkville location were numerous and always exceptional. We've not been to the new Briarcliff space, but word from several trusted allies in the local food scene confirms that the gustatation is the same and the ambiance and views are even better!

Piropos, as advertised, is a taste of Argentina. Argentina, like Kansas City (and the Mid-West in general) is a beef culture. Consequently, if you like beef (and pork, chicken, lamb, seafood, etc.) you will adore Piropos. Hands down, some of the best beef dishes I've ever had have been at Piropos.

Now here is the place I have to call myself out. We've not been to Piropos since they moved locations. As a result we've not sampled anything from their new menu. I almost feel bad for including this restaurant in my top ten. Almost.

Piropos has always been such a perfect experience... the space, the elegance, the service and the food simply could not have been affected by the move. The only direction I can point you is to go to Piropos and create your own memories.
